Description:
7Search is an ad supported resource agency. It installs a Browser Helper Object in the form of a search toolbar in Internet Explorer. Whenever a user searches for something in the toolbar, that query is sent to the search page at 7search.com, where it is recorded. The toolbar thus tracks user data and is known to alter certain browser settings, adding unrequested links to the Favorites menu.
The collected data is passed to 7search server at fstrack.7search.com. This includes a log of all web pages visited, all visited pseudo-URLs (like 'about:'), and the names of any folders, images or other objects in the local file system. A unique user ID is used to track your movements across the visited addresses. Cookies are also issued if you use the search toolbar.
